| Excel Technology South-Asia was created in April 2003 as a subsidiary of Excel Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLTC). Its primary missions are to market, sell, and support products from select manufacturing subsidiaries of Excel Technology, Inc. (Excel) and to provide laser applications laboratory feasibility study support to industrial and scientific customers throughout the surrounding geographic region. Specifically, Excel Technology South-Asia serves India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Qatar, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Bhutan and the United Arab Emirates. |

| Excel today is comprised of nine manufacturing subsidiaries. The five Excel manufacturing companies that either design and build laser systems or integrate laser systems into laser-based material processing systems are all represented by Excel Technology South-Asia. Excel companies represented include Quantronix, Continuum, Synrad, Baublys-Control Laser and Control Systemation. |
| Excel’s expansion of its global distribution channel into India and the surrounding region with the establishment of Excel Technology South-Asia is an important part of Excel’s growth strategy since South-Asia promises to be a key area for high technology growth in years to come. |
